It almost seems like a waste, all those chips, flakes an what not just to produce a single blade. But it's part of the learning, I keep whats after an usually use them for points or whatever may be. - Some 2010 work.

All that's percussion flaking, I use a copper billet an leather pad, start off with a big chunk an get a final blade in the end.

The blade was always there, you just cut the excess off :)

Great picture, was always wondering how much of a mess it would be to cut and carve these :P
